Have you listened to Ivan & Alyosha yet? They're a fun band, and they released their first full-length album this Summer. You can't get it on iTunes or Amazon, although you can pick up their EP, which is great.
I pledged to support the release of their album via Pledgemusic, which is an awesome way of supporting emerging artists, or artists who may otherwise not be able to pull together enough advance money to create an album. An added bonus - proceeds above their target go to charity. You should check it out - it's a pretty cool model. I also got Juliana Hatfield's covers album this way, and that is a ton of fun.
