Random Thoughts...

Style.  I don't have it, but I do know it when I see it.  I am jealous of people who are able to put together a fashionable outfit.  People who are able to do it without spending a fortune are particularly talented.  I think it's just as much of a talent as decorating a room, telling a story, or pursuing other creative outlets.  I hate shopping, and I wouldn't know where to start even if I liked it.  Can somebody just go shopping for me and dress me up so I look pretty?  I love the picture below and think she sums up my style pretty well - simple, classic, practical.  She looks like she'd do just fine in a Boston winter.

I went to hear our current Governor speak earlier this week.  I've read the election literature we received in the mail.  I even went online and read about the issues included in the upcoming election.  I feel prepared, which feels good.  Makes me feel like a grown-up.

Why is it so hard to find the perfect pair of boots?  I think they are like coats - you can never have too many.  I decided to go with a trend and got a pair of booties, and they are great.  I'm still searching for that perfect pair, though.

We finally got that nice white duvet for our bed.  It is so cozy, and I adore crawling into bed more than ever.  Next on the list is to find a couple more prints or pictures to display in a collage above our headboard.  The process of making a house a home is never finished...

I normally get annoyed when I see the Christmas items hit the stores before Halloween - too soon!  And yet, this year for some reason it doesn't seem to bother me.  I'm having fun raking and jumping in leaf piles, and I'm excited to go trick-or-treating with the big boy; but I'm also trying to put together our holiday cards and thinking about holiday menus and sleeping arrangements.  Anticipation is fun, so I'm okay with having it last a little longer.
