Demolition, Easter, and Spring Flowers

2012 is going to be a year of change for my family.  It seems like many of the past several years have had big changes - moving, babies, and the like.  But this one takes the cake.  My husband is currently in the process of leaving his job, and he'll be starting a new one next month.  I will be leaving my job in July.  The kids will be starting new schools in September.  Oh, and we've decided this is the perfect time to tear down and renovate a large portion of our house!  These are all good changes, but it is a lot to manage.  I will be living in a state of chaos for a while, including having no kitchen (!).  Wish us luck.

This week's Three Beautiful Things:

1.  Demolition Day!  There is a big pay loader in my yard, knocking down walls as I type.  Let the renovation begin!

2.  Mimosas, apricot-lemon scones, family, and a beautiful day.  We had a very nice Easter.

3.  The front porch is outlined by beautiful Spring flowers.  The mix of blues, reds, and purples are a cheerful way to be greeted at home.

  1. I feel for you.. so much change going on in my life right now too, and that in itself is a stress factor, even if they are good changes.

  2. I am trying to embrace this sort of chaos! I think you are so right. We are in a similar state (we don't have demolition but we do have business start-up). Husband awaiting a job offer. Kids changing schools in September - the future just presses on, with or without us. Just breatheeee..... ;-)

  3. My oh my - sounds like a pretty full summer ahead! But your quote sums it up well - best of luck with the demolition - exciting and stressful at the same time I imagine. Annie x
